Environmental and Technical Services Ltd (ETS) provides calibration services for environmental test chambers and laboratory equipment, including climatic chambers, ovens, fridges and freezers. Our services help customers understand equipment performance, maintain measurement traceability and support quality assurance requirements. We offer standard calibration, UKAS-accredited temperature and humidity calibration within our accredited scope, and traceable pressure and vacuum calibration.

Calibration Options by Equipment Type

Thermostatic and Climatic Chambers

  • Two-point calibration: Temperature measurements at the centre of the chamber and at the control point, with the humidity sensor positioned at the centre.
  • Multipoint calibration: Temperature mapping using nine sensors, with humidity measured at the chamber centre.
  • Quotation: Includes five temperature setpoints and four humidity setpoints.
  • Additional setpoints are available on request.

Fridges and Freezers

  • Maximum and minimum temperatures are recorded.
  • Temperature monitoring is carried out over a period sufficient to capture a full cycle.
  • Calibration is performed under conditions agreed with the customer.
  • Customer-requested sensor positioning can be accommodated where applicable and documented.

Ovens

  • Three temperature setpoints are included in the quotation.
  • Additional setpoints are available on request.

Calibration Services

Standard Calibration

Standard calibration provides documented results that are traceable to recognised national measurement standards. Reports include relevant temperature and humidity readings, an indication of measurement instability where applicable, and a calibration certificate.

UKAS-Accredited Calibration

Temperature and humidity calibration is available through ETS Laboratory No. 9735, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and within its accredited scope.

  • Measurement uncertainty is reported as applicable.
  • The UKAS accreditation mark is included on certificates where applicable.
  • A calibration label is supplied after completion.

Pressure and Vacuum Calibration

Pressure and vacuum calibration services are available with traceability to recognised measurement standards. These services are not UKAS-accredited.

Calibration Results and Certification

A calibration certificate and equipment label are issued following completion of calibration and analysis of the results, regardless of the outcome.

Customer-specific acceptance or pass/fail criteria are not applied as standard. Customers may request assessment against specified acceptance criteria when obtaining a quotation.

ETS operates a quality management system certified to ISO 9001. Our UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory operates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 within its defined scope of accreditation.
