The purpose of this specific project is the design and construction of a testing system for building facade elements, from walls, roofs, and windows to louvered doors, to examine their thermal behaviour in both winter and summer and in stationary and dynamic climatic conditions.
ACS is able to offer customized solutions thanks to its more than 60 years of experience in designing customized environmental simulation chambers, its technical know-how and the close attention given to the requests of all our customers.
Example of a chamber built according to customer specifications.
The ACS climatic chamber for transmittance tests evaluates the overall behaviour of solar buildings, i.e. facade elements equipped with integrated modules for the production of electricity or heat using solar energy technologies.
By carrying out the appropriate tests, it is possible to investigate how the integrated solar thermal collector alters the temperature profile and the flow of energy through the wall, to understand whether the additional insulation improves the efficiency of the collector or what the composition of the wall materials must be in order to maximize the overall energy balance if the PV modules are integrated and, therefore, work better at lower temperatures.
The software for this type of chamber is an application that includes all the functions based on the specifications requested by the customer. The chamber has a built-in control panel for controlling and managing its functions. The chamber can also be controlled remotely using the WinKratos™ software or an equivalent application.
ACS can provide customized solutions that are adapted to the requests of every customer. Thanks to its accurate analysis of testing needs and highly specialized technical consultancy, ACS designs and manufactures environmental simulation chambers in the configuration most suitable for meeting the customer's testing needs.
