APPLUS^⊕ ENGLISH LABORATORY

The new Applus^⊕ English Laboratory is dedicated to testing batteries for ECE R100 approval and for compliance with UN/DOT 38.3. There are few systems in Europe that can test battery packs as large as this one.

To further accelerate battery development and provide its customers with highly efficient and reliable battery testing systems, the UK Test Center has equipped its laboratory with a large ACS temperature and humidity test chamber (external dimensions mm 3800x4300x2100H).

The chamber can be combined with a vibrator for horizontal vibrations thanks to a removable floor that replaces the blind floor (both supplied).

Different types of sensors are also available , such as O², CO², H², which make it possible to satisfy the different levels of danger established by EUCAR , which associates a series of elements to each level of danger to prevent it.

In Europe, there are few similar systems capable of testing battery packs as large as this one. In fact, the ACS climatic chamber can house batteries of dimensions up to 2.8 x 2.8 m, in extreme climatic conditions from -50°C to +120°C. The vibrator has a capacity of up to 200 kN for vibration tests (random and sinusoidal) and 400 kN for shock tests, allowing the test system to meet the stringent safety requirements of the battery industry.

Unique in its kind, this vibration test chamber is able to test large components also from other industries, such as aerospace, defense or railways.
