  • Widest Range of Single Loop PID Controllers
  • World Class PID Controllers
  • 3200 Temperature/Process Controllers - an emphasis on simplicity with accurate control
  • 2400 Series Programmers/Controllers

With the emphasis being on simplicity, these instruments provide precise temperature and process control with a host of options:

Scrolling text messages

The scrolling text messages deliver plain language messages that are most appropriate to your process - letting operators and engineers alike know exactly what is happening to your process.

Quickstart configures essential functions

The 3200 series uses a simple QuickStart code to configure all of the essential functions required to control your process and, if preferred, we can preset this for you prior to shipment. When accessing the controller HMI you will find that every parameter is accompanied by a scrolling text message to describe its function.

Advanced features

Although simplicity is often the key to a single loop controller, our ranges offer a host of advanced features to meet your needs, including:

  • heater failure detection
  • timer
  • set point programmer
  • recipe feature - unique in this class of product
  • iTools software incorporates a PC wizard configuration tool to help you quickly and confidently set up your controller. To further save your time, configurations can be saved to file and reused or modified to suit other applications in the future.

World Class PID Controllers

Choose from the widest range of products to best fit your requirements:

  • Single loop
  • Multi-loop (up to 16 loops in one instrument)
  • Cost effective
  • Advanced functionality (math, logic, timing, set point programming)

Our comprehensive range of controllers enable you to choose from a vast range of products designed by a company with over 40 years of control expertise.

Control stability

Industrial processes such as plastic extrusion, heat treatment or semiconductor processing require stable, straight-line control.

The best in accurate process measurement distinguishes real values from signal noise. Combine this with advanced PID algorithms to get optimum closed loop response - providing you with the features you need to keep control of the most difficult of processes.

Application support

Sometimes you need more than just someone who can provide you with a controller. Sometimes you need people who understand your process and control requirements to help you make the right choices.

We offer you this support from technical pre-sales advice to application engineering to full commissioning services. We are with you every step of the way.

Reduced engineering costs

Our development teams have spent years refining products so that they are easy for you to use. From ordering to engineering of products, our solutions have been designed to reduce the cost of ownership of our control products.

When you order a PID controller you can specify what you need - input types, control functions and output signals - and the instrument will be shipped to you pre-configured to enable 'out of the box' operation.

Manual calculation of PID parameters can be a lengthy process and requires in depth control knowledge. Automatic self tune, which calculates optimum PID parameters, can easily be performed - reducing your engineering time and providing straight line control response.

A PC software configuration and commissioning utility, 'iTools' provides simplified, advanced customisation of your controllers. We understand that your time is valuable and iTools removes the need for re-engineering as product configurations can be saved and re-used.

If you prefer, you can specify what you need at point of order and we will ship the unit preconfigured to your requirements.

In operator mode every parameter has a scrolling text message describing its function and is available in English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. More advanced features are configured using iTools, a PC based configuration wizard which is easy to use and an instructive guide to all the functions in the controller.

  • 8 Segment programmer

Heater current monitoring

A current transformer input provides display of the heater current and a health check on the load. Partial load failure, heater open circuit and SSR faults are detected and displayed as scrolling alarm messages as well as providing an alarm output. On the 3208 and 3204 a front panel ammeter displays the heater current.

Set point programmer

Heat treatment profiles can be programmed using the 8-segment programmer. Holdback, at the beginning of each segment, can be used to guarantee the soak periods. A digital event output can be triggered in any segment to initiate actions within the process.

Custom text messaging

Custom messages can be created with the iTools wizard and downloaded to the 3200 to display when an event, alarm or process condition occurs. This provides the operator with good visibility of the status of the process.

Remote set point

An option exists for the 3200 to have a Remote Analogue Input. This can be either volts or mA and is used to allow the set point to be generated by a master controller or PLC.
